There are three things you have to do once your season is underway: adjust your ph, adjust your TDS (Total Dissolved Solids, or nutrient concentration), and periodically change your reservoir.
Technology makes this simple. You need a TDS meter (Total Dissolved Solids) to monitor your nutrient concentration. And you need either a Ph meter or Ph strips to monitor your nutrient Ph. A TDS meter from HM Digital and 100 Ph strips are
included in most system packages. Eventually there is nothing like upgrading to a real Ph Pen and a pocket TDS meter. The very best situation is a
Pro Combo TDS/PH/EC meter from Milwaukee Instruments or
Hanna Instruments. Check out our selection.
We don't carry a lot of meters. Why? Because we've been there, done that, and our conclusion is that you don't need to waste your time tracking down the perfect meter. We have the experience to know that you only need a good TDS meter, a good Ph meter, or a professional-grade handheld combo. So we offer five meters that cover the spectrum from basic to pro.
